Empowering Innovation – Copyright and the Ideas Boom
7 July 2016 @ 17:30 - 20:00$45 – $70
The Government’s recent Innovation Statement is the banner for a set of policies that the Government hopes will unleash an Australian “Ideas Boom”. With the Federal election cast in terms of a post-mining boom transition to an innovative, agile and nimble economy, what role will copyright play in this innovation cycle?
The Copyright Society of Australia and Marque Lawyers have invited four cutting-edge innovators from the solar, health, music and entertainment industries to discuss innovation at the coal face and how copyright enables their businesses and industries across new technologies and business models.
Nathan Mattock of Marque Lawyers will host a panel discussion with:
- Simon Barnes, Co-Founder and VP Corporate Development Smart Matter
- Adrian Fitz-Alan, Principal at theAntithesis
- Stephen Peach, Director at Riley Street Consulting, Partner at StartMesh
- Gaurav Sood, Founder of HealthTech
Please join us at Marque Lawyers on Thursday 7 July. Registration and drinks from 5.30pm. Canapes will follow the presentation.
